Slow to update

Sorry for the lack of updates... here's the word as it was thought by me:

Looking back I seem to have forgotten to mention that I went to LA with all the slags from college it was fantastically entertaining and left me smiling from ear to ear - here are some pics to relish the moment with: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=14rdrxsi.4534slcy&x=0&y=pnw8v5

Oh and we also went to the downhill race on the mountain the weekend before the tests:

So the tests went well last Monday. I missed one point out of 240 on my practical exam and got a 93 on my written - not too shabby. The NREMT exam was Monday night and I have no idea how I did on that being that it was HORRIBLE - it had a severe case of chronic ambiguity that I would wish on no one. So I'd like to say that I'm an EMT.... but it's not official till I get those results back. I would find it hard to believe that I missed more than 45 (which is the max one can miss and still get the required 70% to pass).

The Wilderness add-on started the next morning and continued till the 30th - it was exciting and a bit more logicial. Wilderness protocols allow for an EMT to give injections, clear spine injuries and more - which makes it a bit more interesting -albeit a lot of it is common sense.

Thursday night we had a night rescue on the mountain which was fun. We responded to the scene of a rock slide and managed the victims - granted it was a drill - it was still exciting - it's amazing what you can do with make-up.
