Liz surprised me for valentines day and took me to Ouray to the Weisbaden Spa and Hot Springs - which were so nice and relaxing... they had a vapor cave that was set back into the mountain. You walked downstairs through a wooden door that led into the rock wall of the mountain - and then followed the stream back into the mountain to another wooden door to the actual vapor cave which was about 108-110 degrees. It was very cool.
We then went to Silverton - which is known for its steep and deep powder. They only have guided skiing and so we toured the mountain with a small group of skiers and had fresh tracks all day long. They had just received 20 inches of fresh snow - so it was glorious to say the least. Here's an article from the NY Times about it.
We then drove back to CB - stopping along the way to soak in Orvis Hot Springs - again it was relaxing and rejuvenating.
All in all - it was a fantastic weekend.
Despite some major bumps in the road lately - things seem to be running a bit more smoothly - hey, whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger - Right?

It'll be good for us to get away the two of us and refocus on what really matters. (Us... and skiing ;)

Need to take a step back.
Mindfulness:

"Breathing while noticing that you are experiencing anger is mindfulness. Being so stuck in the experience of anger that you are overcome by it is suffering."

Hope all is well. Patrolling Fri-Sun this weekend - should be good. I hear my mid-season review may be tomorrow. Wish me luck.
